    Role: Technical Writer

    Location: Charlotte, NC/New Jersey, NJ

    Job Description:

    The Technical Writer will produce exceptional technical documents including user manuals, message standards, technical specifications, quick references, knowledge articles, page-level help, forms, and other documents as assigned. You'll craft documentation that contributes to the success of our products and business. Documentation is a dynamic department—the contributions of all members are key to producing quality documentation and maintaining our high standards. You will apply your understanding of products and services to translate complex information into simple, polished, and engaging content. Seeking a candidate with excellent writing and verbal communication skills, experience writing business documentation, and demonstrated ability to work in a fast-paced development environment.

    Job Responsibilities:


    • Architect and document new API products, features, and enhancements.


    • Standardize and disseminate best practices, guidelines, and protocols for engineers and technical product owners.


    • Streamline and organize documentation, ensuring it is easily accessible and searchable.


    • Ensure the accurate and timely delivery of external-facing documentation.


    • Conduct ongoing quality assurance, including content curation and performance analytics.


    • Exhibit strong communication skills, interacting effectively with leadership across various levels and disciplines.

    Required Qualifications, Capabilities, and Skills:


    • Minimum of 5+ years in Technical Writing or a related field & Banking/financial background.


    • Proficiency in HTML, Markdown, and other relevant coding languages.


    • Exceptional ability to translate technical concepts into clear, concise documentation.


    • Strong narrative skills to create compelling and educational content from technical materials.


    • Agility in iterative improvement processes.


    • Commitment to lifelong learning and knowledge sharing.

    What would be great to have:


    • Advanced degree in Technical Communications.


    • Experience writing user interface text and application screen content.


    • Experience with Component Content Management Systems and topic-based authoring.


    • Proficiency with SharePoint document repositories and Word templates.


    • Related banking industry experience in platforms, banking applications, or online financial solutions.
