From our home office in downtown Chicago, our BDD support team has vast experience in multi-site healthcare settings and specializes in non-clinical support services such as payroll, bill payment, financial reporting, treasury management, recruiting, revenue cycle management, project management, administrative functions, marketing, and IT support.

    The Staff Accountant will be responsible for performing a wide range of accounting and financial analysis duties within the Company. This position will provide support and direction to the internal support team along with the dental practices the organization operates.

    RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Reconcile daily patient deposits and insurance deposits with the Practice Management Software
    • Prepare and review journal entries and general ledger account reconciliations.
    • Assist with the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports.
    • Prepare analyses for monthly production and collections generated at the dental offices.
    • Prepare annual reports and periodic personal property tax reporting information to third parties.
    • Reconcile "end-of-day" collection activities for the dental practices with bank activity and resolve any discrepancies with the respective office manager(s).
    • Support the month-end, quarter-end and year-end close process.
    • Assist with the year-end audit and reporting processes.
    • Assist with special projects and drive process improvements.
    • Collaborate with other departments to provide financial support and analysis for business decisions.
    • Other duties as assigned
    Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
    • Superior Microsoft Excel skills, including Power Queries
    • 3+ years of experience in accounting or finance, with experience in dental or healthcare accounting optional.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and NetSuite
    • Knowledge of GAAP and other regulatory requirements.
