    Universal Orlando Resort promotes teamwork and collaboration as crucial for the success of the organization. Many team members have a hybrid work model, being present in the office at least three days a week. Some positions require full-time on-site presence.     JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for managing the IT Compliance processes at Universal Parks and Resorts on a daily and long-term basis. The role involves leading various compliance and business continuity initiatives, from converting ideas into actionable plans to monitoring, analyzing, and executing projects related to compliance and business continuity, based on requirements like PCI, CCPA, HIPAA, SOX, Safe Harbor, Red Flag, and more. This position involves both creating these initiatives and overseeing their ongoing operation.

    MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Serve as a subject matter expert on IT Compliance matters. Manage the development and maintenance of policies and procedures to ensure effective compliance with all relevant IT rules and regulations. Establish and oversee systems and processes for accurate compliance reporting and remediation. Lead remediation efforts to ensure continuous adherence to regulatory processes.
    • Collaborate with internal stakeholders such as HR, Security, Internal Audit, users, staff, and IT peers to help define, develop, and document compliance-related business requirements, objectives, deliverables, and specifications for projects and initiatives.
    • Lead IT Compliance and Business Continuity project teams, including all efforts related to IT Disaster Recovery. Conduct regular audits and reviews of compliance and business continuity processes and assets to guarantee compliance with required service levels. Take charge of resolving any instances of non-compliance.
    • Coordinate closely with the Change Management process and relevant parties to uphold compliance with SOX, PCI, and Internal Controls, and minimize change-related risks in the IT production environment. Report non-compliance instances as necessary.
    • Actively engage in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by adhering to established UO policies, procedures, training, and team involvement activities.
    • Perform any other duties as assigned.

    EDUCATION:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Information Systems, or a related field is required.
    • Master's degree is preferred.
    • Relevant work experience may be considered in place of a Bachelor's degree.

    EXPERIENCE:

    • Significant experience in IT with over 5 years in a Compliance role involving strategy definition, process implementation, project management, vendor and contract oversight.
    • Experience in hardware/software compliance lifecycle, including regulations like PCI, HIPAA, SOX, etc.; ITIL Foundations knowledge is a plus.
    • Preferably, experience in IT Business Continuity planning, particularly in IT Disaster Recovery planning.
    • Familiarity with IT system platforms.
    • Extensive experience in documenting processes is preferred.
    • Strong knowledge and experience in data security, compliance, and privacy laws.
    • Experience working independently and collaboratively in a team environment. Ability to research software-related issues and products.
    • May be required to work overtime to meet project deadlines.
    • Any equivalent combination of education and experience is acceptable.
