+ 2nd Shift: 6% added to an hourly wage
+ 3rd Shift: 8% added to an hourly wage
In this role, you will move product and raw materials for delivery to our internal customers. You will also train in the machining department, setup and operate equipment to process parts using available resources.
**Key Responsibilities:**
Assist work cell operators by moving raw material in and out of work centers
Remove waste product and empty into appropriate dumpsters
Move product to next step in process using a forklift and/or electric pallet jack
Load product onto motor freight when necessary
Move completed product to storage area or shipping
Maintain equipment and work area in a clean and safe manner
Work from process sheets, blueprints, or written/verbal instructions by supervisor to perform production tasks
Maneuver large, award, or heavy parts manually or with a crane
Setup, operate, and tend machines used to process components
Coordinate work orders when they are ready for production
Maintain inventory highs/lows based on established manufacturing demands
General clerical tasks and other duties as assigned
Pick products from warehouse shelves and floor locations
Participate in a safety program
Schedule: 2nd Shift, Monday - Friday, 2:30 PM - 11:00 PM.
We're looking for engaged individuals that are adaptable to a changing environment, take pleasure in learning and enjoy working with others.
**Key Competencies:**
Preferred experience with sit-down, propane, and electric forklifts
Ability to perform maneuvers with forklifts and pallet jacks in narrow spaces
Average math and oral communication skills; ability to read and comprehend logs written in English
Accurately read a tape measure down to 1/16"
Physical ability to handle heavy items including lifting, pushing, pulling, and positioning products
Prior experience with safety programs and training preferred
Ability to work scheduled hours and comply with the company's timekeeping policy and all other company policies
Consistently stand for an entire shift
Ability to work with others and be a team player
Ability to evaluate loads and effect on the capacity of forklifts
