    Description

    Our large, Birmingham-based client is look to add a mid- to senior-level Software Developer. They're seeking individuals who excel in embracing new technological advancements, refusing to rely on standardized solutions. The ideal candidate swiftly adjusts to cater to customer needs, displaying expertise in at least one scripting language (e.g., Python, JavaScript, VBScript) and an eagerness to broaden their skill set.

    Responsibilities

    Design and create intricate interfaces between ERP and legacy systems. Utilize back-end programming languages and front-end scripting languages to enhance performance, scalability, and security. Develop external APIs for consumption by mobile applications. Craft mobile apps using hybrid application technologies like Cordova, Capacitor, Flutter, etc. Write programming logic adhering to design specifications from senior development staff. Manage installation, configuration, workflow design, and monitoring of software products. Assure quality and performance through rigorous testing and maintenance. Maintain updated issue records using project tracking tools like Jira or Azure DevOps. Propose effective solutions for existing software issues. Monitor and enhance front-end performance. Perform other assigned tasks.

    Education & Experience

    Typically requires a bachelor's degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field. Three (3) to five (5) years of experience in back-end programming languages (Java/Node) and front-end frameworks (React/Angular) or an equivalent blend.

    Skills & Abilities

    Efficient multitasking while meeting deadlines. Up-to-date knowledge of emerging technology and computer systems. Articulate communication of complex procedures to colleagues. Thorough grasp of stateless architecture. Understanding of the latest trends and their commercial applicability. Attentive to detail and driven to explore data deeper. Proficient in JavaScript, CSS, HTML, and front-end languages. Familiarity with REACT tools like , Webpack, and Redux. Previous experience as a developer. User interface design experience.     With that said, as required by local law, Vaco believes that the following salary range referenced above reasonably estimates the base compensation for an individual hired into this position in geographies that require salary range disclosure.
