Purpose of this Position:
The ECS Software Developer – Enterprise Consulting Services (ECS) contributes directly to the Company's continued growth and success.
The ECS Software Services team performs project and support development work for larger customers and those with more complex business operations.
Our goal in ECS is the success of our customers in achieving their business objectives in the use of McLeod Software products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.Write code in Java and TypeScript for existing applications
Troubleshoot, debug existing applications, providing a customer solution
Design and develop modifications to base applications to provide a customer solution
Develop technical specifications from functional specifications
Porting customer modifications forward to new versions in upgrades
Collaboration with internal teammates, management, and customers as needed
Ability to work independently and on a team
Solve complex problems, work in a fast growing and creative company, work on multiple projects with varying deadlines, serve customers and invent workable solutions
Competencies
Strong understanding of object-oriented programming, data structures, and design patterns
Strong skills in Java, JavaScript, TypeScript, and/or similar object-oriented programming language
Strong problem-solving skills
Familiarity with Relational Database Management Systems and working with SQL
Full SDLC experience
Expertise in the following is an advantage: SQL, API Development, Git, UI development, Eclipse, IntelliJ
Excellent communications skills (verbal and written)

Education/Experience
CS, MIS or Engineering degree (B. S.) from four-year college or university; or three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
