PositionOverviewThe General Manager will haveoverall responsibility for Transdev's San Francisco paratransitLANta location. The General Manager directly, and indirectlyoversees all employees- most under a collective bargainingagreement (CBA). The General Manager is responsible for the overalloperation of LANta and delivering on all KPI's. Responsibilities:
    • Continuously builds relationships with employees,the client, union partners, and the localcommunity.
    • According to location/clientcontract, sets commercial and operational strategic direction forthe business unit team.
      • Leads themanagement team and employee workforce to achievecorporate/property safety goals, service performance, and financialobjectives.
    • Identifies, suggests, anddevelops business growth opportunities.
    • Optimizes the return on assets deployed within thebusiness to include vehicle scheduling, maintenance, andperformance management.
      • Identifiesand analyzes KPIs to maintain positive results.
    • Ensures services are provided within budget andaction plans are developed and implemented to improve operationalefficiencies.
    • Determines and deliversbusiness unit budget.
      • Ensurescompliance with state and federal regulations and compliance withTransdev corporate safety standards. Overseesall staff management and assigns development training in liaisonwith the corporate team as appropriate.
    • Ensures effective environmental compliance andsustainability management.
      • Providescomplete and accurate data collection, compilation, analysis, andreporting.
    Qualifications: Education:
    • Completion of a four (4) year college degree in arelevant field is desirable, although relevant education obtainedthrough alternative methods will beconsidered.
    • Experience in BusinessAdministration, Logistics, Transportation or related field orequivalent business experiencepreferred.
    Experience:
    • Minimum of 5 years as a successful General Managerof a project of a similar size and scope preferred or provenability to grow and adapt quickly with proven performance andexpertise providing high quality service to thecommunity.
    • At least 5 years of experiencemanaging a fleet of 500 or more fixed route or paratransitbuses.
    • Labor relationsexperience.
    Skills and Knowledge:
    • Knowledge of relevant federal and state employmentlaws.
    • Thorough knowledge ofordinances and regulations underlying the transitoperation.
    • Thorough knowledge of themethods of operation of the transit system's staff and operationaldepartments.
    • Ability to build solid andmaintain strong working relationships withclients.
    • Ability to manage cost controland financial budget.
      • Workingknowledge and proficiency with Microsoft OfficeSuite.
    • Understanding of technology,apps, Wi-Fi, and understanding of transportationtechnology.
    • Strong written and oralcommunication skills; excellent presentation skills; ability toinfluence people at all levels of theorganization.
    • Ability to organize and performwork efficiently, strong attention todetails.
    • Ability to work effectivelywith union partners, including labor grievances, andnegotiations.
    • Travel requirement:<10%
