    CHA Consulting, Inc. is currently seeking a Land DevelopmentEngineer to join our Commercial & Institutional - Land Development Team at our office in Savannah, GA.

    YOUR IMPACT:

    Effective land development projects hinge on collaborative efforts between developers, regulatory bodies, community stakeholders, consultants, and local review boards. At the outset of a project, CHA prioritizes a comprehensive assessment of its impact on the entire community, accounting for all moving parts. We then skillfully execute development to enhance traffic, stormwater drainage, water quality, sanitary services and the built environment.

    Working closely with professional engineers, the Land Development Engineer assists in the design development, implementation, and technical analysis of various systems to implement new products, or changes to an existing scheme, to suit individual client needs. At CHA, the professional in this role works on multiple projects in a timely and cost-effective manner to meet client, contractual and company requirements.

    The Land Development Engineer aids in preparing technical reports, contract documents and cost estimates for various engineering tasks. The individual in this role performs simple calculations and engineering design using the standards established by federal, state, and local regulations, as well as the company, group, client, etc. Additionally, the Land Development Engineer solves routine problems by applying defined procedures and attends field assignments when appropriate.

    REQUIREMENTS:
    • Bachelors Degree in Civil Engineering required
    • EIT certification preferred
    • No prior experience required; however, prior internship(s) and/or applicable coursework preferred
    • Demonstrates a strong willingness to learn about the respective engineering discipline
    • Has a strong theoretical knowledge in the respective engineering field
    • Familiar with engineering, computational, and modeling software (Revit, AutoCAD, MicroStation, etc.)
    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software required
    • Desire to work in a collaborative team environment with the willingness to assist mid and senior level engineering and project management staff
    • Effective verbal and written communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style to suit various audiences
    SALARY RANGE::

    $65,000 - $75,000

    Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
