We started in 2011 with a mission to help transform the healthcare landscape in Central Florida for LGBTQIA communities who faced continuous barriers to quality care.     Job purpose

    The Grants Manager plays a crucial role in supporting the financial sustainability and growth of 26Health by leading the organization's efforts in grant prospecting, proposal development, grant management, and reporting. Reporting to the Director of Development, the Grants Manager will be responsible for identifying funding opportunities, writing compelling grant proposals, and managing relations with grand funders to secure resources for our programs and initiatives.

    Duties and Responsibilities

    • Conduct research to identify potential grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, corporations, and other grant-making entities aligned 26Health's mission and programs.
    • Lead the development of high-quality grant proposals, including drafting narratives, budgets, and supporting documents in collaboration with program staff, finance team, and other stakeholders.
    • Oversee the entire grants management process, including tracking grant deadlines, submitting timely grant reports, and ensuring compliance with grant requirements and regulations.
    • Cultivate and maintain positive relationships with grant funders, program officers, and other key stakeholders to enhance 26Health's visibility and credibility within the funding community.
    • Collaborate with program staff to gather data, outcomes, and success stories for grant proposals and reports. Coordinate with fiancé and accounting staff to ensure accurate budgeting and financial reporting for grant-funded projects.
    • Work closely with program staff to monitor grant-funded activities, track outcomes, and evaluate the impact of funded projects. Prepare regular reports on grant performance for internal and external stakeholders.
    • Stay informed about grant regulations, policies, and compliance requirements to ensure adherence to grant terms and conditions. Identify and mitigate potential risks related to grant funding.
    • Contribute to the development of the organization's grant strategy and annual fundraising plan, including setting goals, identifying priorities, and allocating resources.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (such as Nonprofit Management, Public Health, Business Administration, or communications). Master's degree preferred.
    • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in grant writing, grant management, or fundraising, preferably in the healthcare or nonprofit sector.
    • Proven track record of successfully securing grants from government agencies, foundations, and other sources.
    • Strong writing skills, with the ability to craft clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals and reports.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and internal stakeholders.
    • Detail-oriented with strong organizational and project management skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and grant management software.

    Working conditions

    • Prolonged periods standing, walking, and/or sitting at a desk and working on a computer may be required. Work may be required in various environments as needed by project/activity.

    • May require the occasional ability to lift up to 10 pounds.
