    Job Summary


    The role is responsible for driving forwards The IRONMAN Group partnership offering, helping to create best-in-class, industry-leading partnerships, assets and activations.

    This role is key to the Global Partnerships goal of growing revenue across all brand portfolios.

    Responsible for managing a highly successful Commercial Partnership team with three direct reports.


    To lead this ambitious team, we are looking for a Director, Global Partnerships, North America, who has a track record of developing sophisticated, creative, and impact-driven partnership strategies; is experienced in managing relationships and has demonstrated the ability in influencing key stakeholders, both internally and externally.

    The Director will be an excellent communicator, inspiring leader, and collaborative team player.

    Responsibilities and Duties


    This role will manage and lead the team based in North America as well as a number of key Global and Title Partners with a second chair being available to assist with day-to-day administration duties.

    With the purpose of managing their sponsorship, understanding their business, while driving growth through sales, increasing renewals, and adding new brands or events to a sponsor's portfolio:?

    Develop a written strategic plan and overview for each account and provide a service plan for each.

    Annually review Partner goals and objectives.?

    Work with Business Intelligence team to deliver annual Partner recaps and reports.
    Prioritize time spent on each account based upon current and projected revenues.?
    Schedule regular status calls to ensure ongoing communication and correct account management.?

    Facilitate and assist in managing any contractual changes - including leading on renewals, revision in terms, expansion, or deletion of territories.

    Work with Accounting and Finance to facilitate payments, when necessary, as well as to flag potential financial issues
    Communicate sponsorship assets and deliverables with the Partnership Activation Team and other departments to finalize activation and fulfillment successfully.?
    Seek opportunities for revenue growth within existing portfolio.
    This is a regional leadership role within the Global Partnerships department which includes the following responsibilities:

    Manage department expense budget including, travel, accommodation, partner activation expenses and World Championship costs.
    Provide input into The IRONMAN Group's partnership strategy, processes, and team organization.
    Sit on the North America Executive Team and lead on cross-functional initiatives and coordination.
    Responsible for leadership across partnership involvement with World Championship Events.

    This role will also include leading and being the day-to-day point of contact for the experienced Account Management team for the North American business.

    Provide support and guidance to the Partner Managers to drive Global Partnerships forward.
    Keep up-to-date with industry trends, share best practices and new activation ideas, lead brainstorming sessions with the team.
    Run regular project and status meetings with the partner management team. Ensure continual development, sharing of knowledge, and communication amongst the team.
    Develop pathways to grow and develop the team.
    Empower the team to make informed decisions and be able to hold them accountable for their work.
    Develop and update as necessary internal processes to ensure efficient and effective working practices.
    Track sales pipeline and allocate new partners to the partnership team according to capacity, experience, and development.
    Be a champion for team culture and foster positive team spirit amongst the department.
    Manage team members annual performance reviews, training and remuneration.
    Lead on recruitment and hiring activities as needed.
    This role involves significant opportunity to interact with all parts of the organization but particularly Global Partnership teams in NA, EMEA & Oceania, and NA department leadership across all brand portfolios within The IRONMAN Group

    Requirements

    Skills & Experience


    6+ years of experience in partnership or marketing roles within the sports media and entertainment industry, with a proven track-record of delivering impactful partnerships that drive business results.

    2+ years of people management experience and experience with the hiring process.
    Desire to lead and develop a team, and ability to influence without direct authority.
    Ability to build and maintain professional relationships with high-level stakeholders and executives.
    Experience operating within a fast-paced, international, data-driven environment.
    Understanding of digital media landscape and working knowledge of social media platforms.

    Strong interpersonal and communication stills (verbal and written), with an ability to build and maintain professional relationships with client decision makers.

    Highly motivated with the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
    Excellent organizational and project management skills.
    Ability to think quickly, strategically and manage multiple priorities.
    Must be able to travel domestically and internationally, including over weekends for meetings and events.

    The role will be based in the IRONMAN Tampa office, Florida.
