Position Summary:


Responsibilities and Essential Functions:


  • Lead the production team in managing all aspects of production planning, scheduling, quality control and inventory management (including supplies and tools).
  • Effectively communicate between management and operators to ensure an efficient production line(s) with maximum output.
  • Train new operators and coach existing operators to increase productivity, efficiency and quality of work.
  • Motivate team to meet scheduling demands. Ensure team flexes as needed to meet demand. Assist Production Manager with proper scheduling of Machine Operators to meet demand.
  • Know and adhere to all safety rules and procedures. Perform daily plant inspections and report back to Production Manager with any/all findings.
  • Solve day to day problems to facilitate the productivity of the line. Involve Production Manager when/as needed.
  • Actively suggest operational improvements to enhance quality, improve production time, and reduce costs.
  • Assist with conducting time studies in order to balance work flow of lines.
  • Accommodates and performs other related duties effectively as assigned.

Qualifications, Skills and Education:


  • Required Qualifications:_
  • High School diploma or the equivalent
  • 3+ years of manufacturing experience, preferably in building products
  • 3+ years of supervisory experience
  • Ability to accurately read measurements on machines
  • Preferred Qualifications:_
  • Experience operating a forklift
  • Experience operating a CNC Machine or other wood working machines
  • Experience using hand tools
  • Bilingual English/Spanish
  • Ability to work in highspeed, fastpaced production environment
  • Perform each job on the line within required quality standards
  • Basic understanding of computers to input inventory numbers and other data points
  • Experience with manual and automatic manufacturing processes
  • Possess strong communication skills (both verbal and written)

Working Conditions:


  • Nontemperature controlled environment
  • Work overtime and on weekends as needed to complete daily production schedule

Physical Requirements:


  • Prolonged standing/walking
  • Lifting/pushing/pulling up to 50lbs
