- Unpack and organize specimens in designated areas
- Accurately label specimens
- Pack and send samples for testing
- Meet department goals
- Properly store excess samples
- Enter patient data accurately
- Resolve any issues with specimens
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum one year of specimen processing experience OR knowledge of aseptic technique
- Comfortable with handling biological samples
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- Attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to pass a standardized color-blind test

Our client, a medical facility in Southfield, MI, is in need of two team members to join their 2nd shift crew (2:30pm - 11:00pm) to support specimen processing tasks. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking full-time work over the summer and aiming to gain valuable experience in a healthcare setting.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Typically operating seven days a week until project completion (Mon - Fri + Sat and Sun).
