    Description

    Our client, a medical facility in Novi, Michigan, is seeking two team members for their afternoon shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) to support specimen processing tasks. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking full-time employment and hoping to gain valuable experience in a healthcare setting during the upcoming summer season. The project may last between 3 weeks to 2 months.

    Job Duties/Responsibilities:

    • Prepare specimens for analysis and testing
    • Unpack and send specimens to their designated areas
    • Accurately label specimens
    • Package and send specimens for testing
    • Meet production goals
    • Store excess specimens properly
    • Enter patient data accurately
    • Address and document any specimen issues

    Afternoon Shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Likely seven days a week (Monday - Friday + Saturday and Sunday) until project completion

    Requirements:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent
    • Minimum one year of previous specimen processing experience OR knowledge of aseptic techniques
    • Comfortable working with biological specimens
    • Strong organizational and data entry skills
    • Attention to detail
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Passing a standardized color-blind test
