- Prepare laboratory specimens for analysis and testing
- Unpack and route specimens to their respective staging areas
- Accurately identify and label specimens
- Pack and ship specimens to proper testing facilities
- Meet department activity and production goals
- Properly prepare and store excess specimen samples
- Data entry of patient information accurately and promptly
- Resolve and document any problem specimens
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one year experience in specimen processing or aseptic technique
- Comfortable handling biological specimens
- Strong data entry and organizational skills
- High attention to detail
- Proficiency in MS Office
- Ability to pass a standardized color-blind test

Our client, a medical facility in Grosse Pointe, MI, is seeking to hire two team members for the 2nd shift (2:30pm - 11:00pm) to support specimen processing duties. This opportunity is ideal for individuals seeking full-time work and aiming to gain experience in a hospital setting during the upcoming summer season. The project is expected to last between 3 weeks to 2 months.
Job Duties/Responsibilities:
2nd shift: 2:30pm - 11:00pm. Typically working seven days a week (Monday to Friday + Saturday and Sunday) until the project completion
