Successful candidates will have proven experience in product development fromconcept to implementation.

Job Duties:

Evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteriaProduct design and development, selection and testing of materials, preparation of specifications, calculations, research investigations, and report preparation with support/direction of leadershipWork with other team members to integrate designs with large scope development projectsProvide support for new products through innovative hardware solutionsPresent and recommend alternative solutions by examining such criteria as make-versus-buy, reusing existing hardware/software versus new designs, cost versus benefits, reliability, scheduling, etc.

Execute tasks among multiple projects concurrentlyDevelop and manage priorities to ensure timely completion of tasksDesign cost effective solutionsSupport engineering of core systems across multiple platformsFunction as a technical resource to other team membersMaintaining CAD, product data management, ERP/MRP systemsIdentify opportunities for product improvements and/or cost reductionsMaintain focus on continuous improvement through researching and sourcing innovative, cost-efficient business solutions and making recommendations to leadershipExecute work tasks in accordance with standard procedures and policiesComply with all applicable OSHA, EPA, local regulatory laws, and company safety policiesManagement retains the discretion to add or change the duties of this position at any timeQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related fieldAssociates degree in relatable field with equivalent experience will be acceptedDemonstrated experience with 3D CAD packages.

Solidworks preferredCapable of design and development of mechanical parts and assembliesPrior experience in relatable field or role preferredKnowledge of various types of manufacturing equipment and limitations of equipment preferredCollaborate and interact with multiple teams and departmentsMinimum of 2 years' experience with solid modeling CAD development toolsExperience in LEAN environment, preferredProven analytical skills (FEA, CFD, Calcs)Exposure to testing development, execution, interpretationKnowledge of GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing)Minimal travel required with limited notice to identify and assist with field equipment problems or other related engineering activitiesAbility to manage multiple tasks while maintaining organizationProficient in the knowledge and use of MS Office (Word, Excel)Must work effectively under pressure, be highly motivated, exercise good judgment and maintain confidentialityExcellent oral and written communication abilities, leadership, problem solving, organizational, training, and PC skills are required.

Physical Requirements:
Must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, and sit.

Must stoop, bend, reach, walk; perform repetitive motions using hands to grasp, push, pull or do fine manipulationsIntermittently lift light to medium weight up to 50 lbs.
