    Description

    Duration: 15-Month Onsite Contract Position

    Location: Cleveland, Ohio

    About Us: Our client is a leading healthcare organization committed to delivering exceptional patient care and operational excellence. We are currently seeking a skilled Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialist to join their dynamic team.

    Responsibilities: As a CDI Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the integrity and accuracy of clinical documentation within our healthcare system. Your primary responsibilities will include:

    • Collaborating with interdisciplinary teams to optimize clinical documentation practices.
    • Conducting comprehensive reviews of medical records to ensure compliance with coding and billing regulations.
    • Identifying opportunities for improvement in documentation practices to enhance patient care outcomes and financial performance.
    • Assisting in the management of external vendor relationships to support CDI initiatives effectively.

    Requirements:

    • 4-6 years of hands-on experience in clinical documentation integrity (CDI) within a healthcare setting.
    • Relevant certifications such as:
    • CCS – IP (Certified Coding Specialist – Inpatient)
    • CCDS (Certified Clinical Documentation Specialist)
    • 5-10 years of experience in Nursing, with a strong understanding of clinical workflows and terminology.

    Preferred Qualifications:

    • Proficiency in utilizing CDI software and electronic health record (EHR) systems.
    • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
