- Knowledge of case management/social work practices and resources available to help individuals with serious mental illnesses, substance use disorders, and co-existing disorders.

- Must possess a valid driver's license (state of Virginia, unless otherwise approved by agency) with an acceptable driving record. Must maintain acceptable record throughout employment.
- Must have an acceptable criminal history background and child protective services check upon hire and maintained throughout employment;
- Must have acceptable drug screen results upon hire.
- Working knowledge of Medicaid guidelines as they pertain to State Plan, and Clinic Options.
- Basic knowledge of human rights, ethical, and legal concerns as they relate to providing case management clinical services.
- Basic working knowledge of computers and word processing.
- Ability to initiate work, work independently and/or with other team members and resources; ability to prioritize actions, problem-solve, think critically and improvise.
- Knowledge and understanding of best practice treatment modalities for serious mental illness, intellectual and developmental, substance use, and co-occurring disorders to include behavioral supports and interventions.
- High School Diploma with at least one year of experience in a setting working with individuals with substance use disorders and/or possible co-occurring mental illness is required.
- Experience in a setting working with individuals with substance use disorders and/or possible co-occurring mental illness is helpful.
- Bachelor's Degree in education, social work, psychology, or human services related field is required.

The Case Manager I, provides case management for individuals with mental illness, substance use, or co-occurring disorders who demonstrate a need for active case management services.
The Case Manager coordinates services and/or resources needed by the client to support their basic needs and to enable them to remain and function optimally in the community.
Works as part of the Drug Court Team to coordinate services for clients enrolled in the program and to ensure compliance with program requirements/expectations.
Also provides discharge services and active follow-up to engage the client in appropriate services. Attends treatment team meetings, specialty court hearings, and maintains contact with referral sources (e.g., Probation, DSS, etc.) as needed.$3,000 Sign on Bonus
