    Description

    Position Overview: We are seeking an experienced Chief Technology Officer (CTO) with expertise in Ruby on Rails to lead our technical team and drive innovation across all aspects of our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in software development, architecture, and technical leadership, with a proven track record of building and scaling Ruby on Rails applications. The CTO will play a pivotal role in shaping our technology strategy, driving product development, and fostering a culture of technical excellence and innovation.

    Responsibilities:

    1. Technology Strategy: Develop and execute a comprehensive technology roadmap that leverages Ruby on Rails to support the company's strategic goals and objectives. Lead the evaluation and adoption of emerging technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement and innovation.
    2. Product Development: Oversee the end-to-end development lifecycle of Ruby on Rails applications, ensuring that products are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define product requirements, prioritize features, and drive implementation.
    3. Technical Leadership: Provide strategic guidance and leadership to the engineering team, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous learning. Mentor and coach team members to develop their skills and capabilities in Ruby on Rails development.
    4. Architecture and Scalability: Architect scalable and maintainable Ruby on Rails solutions that can support the company's growth and evolving business needs. Implement best practices and design patterns to ensure code quality, performance, and security.
    5. Team Building and Talent Development: Recruit, onboard, and retain top engineering talent, building a high-performing team of Ruby on Rails developers. Provide mentorship and professional development opportunities to empower team members to excel in their roles.
    6. Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with other members of the executive team to align technology initiatives with overall business objectives. Communicate technical concepts and strategies effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders, fostering understanding and alignment.
    7. Risk Management and Compliance: Identify and mitigate technical risks and vulnerabilities in Ruby on Rails applications, ensuring compliance with relevant security standards and regulations. Implement robust monitoring and testing processes to maintain the integrity and security of our systems.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
    • Proven experience as a technology leader, with a minimum years in a senior management role.
    • Strong expertise in Ruby on Rails development, with a deep understanding of the framework's architecture, best practices, and ecosystem.
    • Demonstrated success in building and scaling Ruby on Rails applications in a fast-paced, agile environment.
    • Excellent leadership and team-building skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate others to achieve their full potential.
    • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking mindset and the ability to anticipate and capitalize on emerging trends and opportunities.
    • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to articulate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
    • Knowledge of relevant regulatory requirements and compliance standards.
