    *Position: CVOR Nurse Educator

    *Contract 13 Week Assignment with Possibility of Extension
    *Location: New York, NY 10016
    *Shift Days M-F

    We are seeking an experienced CVOR Nurse Educator for a 13-week contract assignment in Bellevue, NY. This is a day shift, Monday through Friday position.

    Position Summary:

    The CVOR Nurse Educator will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating educational programs and initiatives for the cardiovascular operating room (CVOR) nursing staff.

    This includes creating curricula, delivering training sessions, mentoring staff nurses, and ensuring continuous education and competency.


    Responsibilities:

    • Assess the educational needs of the CVOR nursing staff through observations, feedback, and competency evaluations
    • Develop comprehensive training curricula, educational materials, and assessment tools for CVOR nursing skills and procedures
    • Deliver engaging classroom and simulation-based training sessions to nurse educators, preceptors, and staff nurses
    • Provide one-on-one coaching, mentoring, and skills validation for CVOR nurses as needed
    • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current CVOR nursing practices, techniques, and protocols
    • Collaborate with nursing leadership, surgeons, and other members of the interdisciplinary team
    • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of educational programs, making revisions as necessary
    • Ensure compliance with all relevant nursing, hospital, and regulatory policies and guidelines

    Qualifications:

    • Current Registered Nurse licensure in New York
    • Minimum of 2 years of recent CVOR nursing experience
    • Experience in developing and delivering nursing education/staff development programs
    • Strong clinical knowledge of cardiovascular procedures, equipment, and perioperative nursing
    • Excellent communication, teaching, and interpersonal skills
    • Ability to create effective educational content and utilize various instructional methods
    • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and learning managemen
