    Sr. Enterprise Network Engineer

    Our client is a solid and growing IT solutions provider that specializes in IT solutions for the healthcare industry. They have major national and global clients with complex needs, and their projects and clients are looking to leverage the latest technologies to support the growth of their businesses.

    The Role

    Our client is looking to hire a senior level network engineer to work with their largest clients on their complex global networking requirements. The engineer will have a dynamic and consultative role focused on architecting/designing global network infrastructures that is scalable and resilient. S/he will also help to implement the architected solutions, and support/maintain the global networks when complex issues arise. The ideal individual will have strong skills in routing protocols, advanced switching, data center and cloud networking, and security -- with a focus on Cisco and Palo Alto platforms.

    Responsibilities will include:

    • Design, deploy, and manage enterprise-level routing and switching solutions to meet client requirements. Expertise in Cisco and Palo Alto platforms is required.
    • Architect and implement scalable network designs, considering fault tolerance, redundancy, and performance optimization.
    • Configure and optimize routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP to ensure efficient traffic routing and network convergence.
    • Implement advanced switching technologies, including VLANs, VTP, EtherChannel, and Spanning Tree Protocols (STP).
    • Configure, troubleshoot, and optimize Palo Alto firewall policies, including application- based rules, URL filtering, and threat prevention.
    • Troubleshoot complex network and security issues, identify root causes, and implement timely resolutions to minimize downtime and service disruptions.
    • Consult with client(s) to operate and optimize Network and Firewall
    • Develop and maintain documentation, including diagrams, configurations, and standard operating procedures documents.

    Must have for this role are:

    • 5+ years' experience in designing and implementing network architectures for enterprise-scale environments.
    • Proficiency in network protocols and technologies such as TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, VTP, MPLS, VPNs
    • Expertise in network security technologies, including firewalls, intrusion detection/prevention systems, and VPNs. Experience with Palo Alto is preferred.
    • 5+ years' experience working with IT service management and monitoring
    • Good communication skills with client stakeholders, contacts, and end-
    • Hybrid role with one or two days per week onsite at client site is
    • 4 years degree or commensurate industry experience
    • Preferred certifications: CCNP or CCIE. Also Palo Alto PCSNE is a plus.
    • Must be authorized to work in the US.
