    Americas Sr. Category Manager Logistics

    Logistics Procurement Manager provides leadership, vision, direction, and structure to the procurement function in their category to drive effective, efficient, and value-add procurement strategy and management aligned with Axalta's strategic priorities and business needs. The primary purpose of this position is to be the lead for North America and Canada Procurement Logistics with approximately $85MM in annual spend. Located in our Global Headquarters, in Glen mills office.

    Works directly for the Logistics Procurement Director and requires extensive collaboration with the Supply Chain and Operations departments within all company businesses in the North America and Canada region.

    Responsibilities
    • Create and drive the domestic logistics procurement strategy for the following domestic modes: Truckload, Less-than-truckload, Intermodal and Bulk.
    • Provide leadership by informing and supporting business planning, bringing forth innovative approaches to solve unmet needs, and reducing waste through improved procurement processes and site and/or vendor efficiencies.
    • Develop and implement overarching policies, procedures, systems, structures, and frameworks for all procurement-related activities to deliver the best proactive procurement and contract management solutions.
    • Lead negotiation strategy with procurement partners and suppliers. Establish collaborative stakeholder and strategic supplier relationships to maximize the organization's influence. Develop key relationships with suppliers that deliver optimal value.
    • Delivers leading category management and sourcing methodologies, and strategies across their category.
    • Develops and implements a robust and repeatable spend database with a full understanding of external spend. Delivers an improved vendor risk assessment framework and mitigation strategies to key strategic vendors.
    • Owns procurement governance forums and scorecards for decision-making and performance monitoring.
    • Build procurement capability and performance across the organization.
    • Establish key performance indicators and qualitative and quantitative metrics to capture, report, and evaluate the benefit and performance of all procurement activity.
    • Establish market intelligence, performance benchmarking information, and innovative approaches to market changes.

    Qualifications
    • Minimum of bachelor's degree in supply chain or Logistics (master's degree preferred)
    • Minimum of 7 years of Procurement/Logistics experience within the chemical industry
    • SAP S/4HANA and TM experience.
    • Knowledge of hazardous material transportation and regulations
    • Strong problem-solving and planning capability
    • Excellent oral and written communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
    • Strong interpersonal skills, team player with the ability to effectively influence others to action.
    • Ability to collaborate, and communicate effectively across mediums, audiences, and situations.
    • Unquestioned ethics and integrity including the ability to work on confidential matters.
    • Able to identify critical path issues; review and trend data and advise relative to improvement areas for environmental performance and compliance.
    • Ability to effectively influence at all levels of the organization (up, down, and laterally)
    • Ability to travel 10% - 20%of the time.
