    ASG Presales Solutions Engineer?
    • Google Cloud at SHI in Boise, Idaho, United States Job Description Job Summary The Solutions Engineer
    • GoogleCloud will work as a cloud generalist who will be customer facing and will uncover and develop opportunities when meeting with customers and account planning with sales teams.
    The Solutions Engineer will take a consultative approach to cloud projects and will understand how cloud technology enables business. The Solutions Engineer will report to a Solutions Director or a Regional Solutions Manager.

    This position is a remote position however may be required to report to the Austin, Tx location as required for business needs as determined by SHI management.

    Responsibilities Includes but not limited to:
    + Collaborates with account teams in understanding the maturity levels of customer cloud environments through review and evaluation of cloud technologies, consumption, implementations, and processes + Responsible for designing and proposing Cloud solutions that meet customer's business objectives + Develop and execute cloud solutions strategy for assigned customers + Learn and understand company cloud services offerings and portfolio by self-study, partner training and company sponsored training + Collaborate with multiple layers of contacts within an organization, including but not limited to CIO, CTO, CISO, IT/Security Directors, IT/Security Adminto strengthen our overall customer relationship and better understand the goals and objectives they are trying to achieve + Collaborate with sales team to drive the solution including making recommendations and aligning next steps for the sale + Strengthenour technical relationships with original equipment manufacturers (OEMs), strategic and emerging partners and key cloud partners to increase knowledge and be considered for beta programs to better serve our customers with best current product information + Educate and develop sales teams on cloud solution selling and key technologies through 11 training, team training and company training + Conduct product training and positioning for the Sales team and customer + Stay current on new technology, trends and market behavior by studying market trend and the industry landscape + Maintain vendor accreditations and certifications relevant to the cloud Industry + Self-study and independent work in lab facilities to increase job related knowledge and skills + Obtain technical certifications as needed for specific projects as dictated by management Qualifications + Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience + ExperienceRe-hosting and re-factoring applications + Experience in IT administration and leadership + Experience in Technical presales + Experience with systems management and monitoring + Deep knowledge of AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platforms? Required Skills + Ability to design cloud infrastructure including hybrid cloud, hyper converged, infrastructure/platform as a service, micro-services, security, IAM, and governance + Ability to work withcloud architecture frameworks such as CSA, Microsoft Azure Reference Architecture, AWS , AWS architecture best practices + Ability to work effectively and add value as a team member + Ability to assume a leadership role when needed + Ability to understand complex technical and selling situations and the ability to solve the problem or solicit the required resources? + Outstanding written and verbal communication + Excellent negotiation skills + Excellent presentation Skills + Excellent troubleshooting/problem solving skills + Ability to obtain Certifications as needed + Ability to work effectively, add value as a team member and assume a leadership role for the team. + Ability to work effectively within all levels of an organization, both internally and externally + Ability to work both individually and in a team environment + Must be results driven with a strong sense of urgency + Attention to detail, organization, and follow up skills are critical + Initiative to research and resolve problems with a positive attitude + Demonstrated technical knowledge and consultative skills.

    + AWS Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (preferred to have upon application) + Azure Certified Solutions Architect - Associate (preferred to have upon application)

    Preferred Certifications:
    The following are not required, however are considered a plus. + AWS Certified Solutions Architect
    • Professional + AWS Certified Advanced Networking
    • Specialty + Microsoft AZ 100, 300, or 500 Series certifications + MCSA
    • Cloud Platform + MCSE
    • Cloud Platform and Infrastructure + Google Cloud Platform Architect + Red Hat Certified Engineer in Red Hat OpenStack + Other relevant certifications for public cloud, DevOps, containers, etc.
    ? Unique Requirements + Travel to client locations required up to 40% + Extended hours are required to complete some special projects Additional Information + The estimated annual pay range for this position is $120,000 - $230,000 which includes a base salary and bonus.

    The compensation for this position is dependent on job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and market location and, therefore, will vary from individual to individual.
