    The Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center , part of Montgomery County's Office of Community Partnerships (OCP), is seeking a part-time (20 hours/week) Program Manager I to manage the Immigrant Resource Center in Gaithersburg, manage and develop the Information and Referral Program (center-wide), and act as a subject matter expert in the field of community services and resources. This is a merit position that includes benefits.Full-time salary is listed below. The hourly pay-range for part-time is: $ $53.16.

    Working together with employees of government agencies and service providers, the Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center aims to make Montgomery County one of America's most welcoming communities.

    A few of the major duties include

    The Center operates in three regions of the County: Wheaton, Gaithersburg, and East County. The selected applicant for this position will work primarily at the Gilchrist Center's Gaithersburg site.

    • Manage the operations of the Gilchrist Center in the Up-county region, ensuring that programs and services meet the needs of the clients.
    • Provide training and supervision to hourly and merit staff.
    • Manage and develop the Information and referral program for all Gilchrist Center locations, assessing the effectiveness of the program, managing client databases, updating resource materials, including the Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center's website.
    • Implement and promote programs and services offered in the assigned region, including outreach, communications, and partnership development.
    As a subject matter expert on community resources, you will research current programs, attend and/or convene meetings, represent the Office of Community Partnerships/Gilchrist Center, and advocate for client needs and priorities related to access to community resources and programs.

    As a core member of the Gilchrist Immigrant Resource Center management team, you will jointly manage the operations and programs to maintain consistency and quality of services.

    Other information about this position:

    This position requires the ability to attend meetings or perform work at locations outside the office and outside of normal business hours. The individual selected for this position will be required to work evenings and weekends.

    Minimum Qualifications

    Experience: Three years of professional program management experience related to serving immigrant populations.

    Education: Graduation from an accredited college or university with a bachelor's degree.

    Equivalency: An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.

    Preferred Criteria

    There are no preferred criteria.All applicants will be reviewed by OHR for minimum qualifications. Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be rated "Qualified," placed on the Eligible List, and may be considered for interview.

    Preference for interviews will be given to applicants with experience in the following:
    1. Knowledge and understanding of the needs of immigrant populations in Montgomery County (especially in the Up-County region) and the community resources available to them.
    2. Language proficiency (please include language spoken on resume).
    3. Experience with database management and quality control.
    4. Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Power Point, Forms).
    5. Experience collaborating and partnering with local providers.
    6. Experience providing staff training.
