    Summary of Responsibilities:

    The Development Analyst is responsible for performing and preparing various analytical tasks necessary to implement the development of business plans. Working closely with the Vice President of Development, the Analyst participates in the underwriting of development proformas and the preparation of various reports and memorandums necessary for the day-to-day management of projects. The Analyst provides a full complement of analytical support to the Development Team throughout all project phases such as site acquisition, contracts, programming, design, finance, construction, leasing/marketing, and asset management.

    The Development Analyst's responsibilities also include property entitlement, permitting, and project management in order to complete projects on time and on budget; management of the underwriting and due diligence process in connection with and after asset acquisition; evaluation of credit data and financial statements in determining risk; and the preparation of offering memos as needed. The Development Analyst further conducts real estate market research, facilitates support of new ventures, assists with building and maintaining proforma models, reviews and assists with the approval of vendor invoicing, and performs other duties as assigned.

    Summary of Requirements:

    Ideal candidates for the Development Analyst position hold a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. This position requires prior experience in investment banking within the real estate industry. Additionally, the Analyst's experience should illustrate an advanced knowledge of budgets, cost reports and other financials, and knowledge of general workflow and process in building construction. Effective analytical, administrative, judgement, problem-solving, decision-making, communication (verbal and written), and professional presentation skills are required. This position requires effective financial skills, the successful ability to perform both independently and as a team member within an entrepreneurial environment, a high attentiveness to detail, and the effective ability to stay focused and follow-through on responsibilities. MS Office (Excel, Word, and Outlook) knowledge is required.
