Description
Responsible for the day to day supervision of the materials distribution process and all related functions in an efficient and effective manner, including but not limited to: shipping & receiving, central supply, linen distribution, par level replenishment, inventory control, and hospital surplus.
Performs supervisory functions for the area of responsibility by effective management of human and financial resources to achieve quality outcomes in line with financial goals of the institution.
Analyzes department operations, identifies opportunities for cost reduction and enhanced efficiency.Assist Director in department budget development, monitor expenditures, personnel and operating budgets.
Shows leadership in problem solving as it relates to operational issues and meeting customer and personnel needs.
Conducts special projects and performs related responsibility as may be assigned and required by the Director.
Maintain adequate operating supply levels throughout the hospital and timely supply distribution for all assigned products.
Requirements, Preferences and Experience
Education
Minimum: 2 years of experience in materials management; 6 months of healthcare related experience
Experience
Preferred:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
Minimum:
Associate's Degree or equivalent related experince
