    **Group Sales Manager (G League)**

    Birmingham, AL, USA Req #215 Thursday, February 24, 2022 **I f you are interested in sports jobs with the Birmingham Squadron, youre in the right place** The Birmingham Squadron are seeking a **Manager of Group Sales** to works closely with The Director of Sales in the implementation of tactical and operational plans to achieve targeted levels of revenue, cross selling and customer retention. This individual will assume a hands-on role in the management of, and is directly responsible for his/her sales team of Account Executives.

    **Responsibilities:**

    Manage a team of Account Executives by advising sales activities, setting and reviewing sales targets, coaching, mentoring, recruiting and training; develop and execute all aspects of a group sales program

    Work with team to brainstorm and develop themed and group programmed nights, as well as new fan experiences for sales reps to sell in the community

    Conduct daily cold calls to prospective clients

    Through the Sales Team, execute effective corporate and non-corporate sales calls and presentations promoting the purchase of Birmingham Squadron ticket products to meet established sales objectives

    Identify key partnerships and business opportunities within the community to develop group sales initiatives; proactively soliciting and following up with any sales leads

    Work with TicketMaster, Spinzo and other third party vendors to establish a coordinated online approach for group sales

    Contribute to corporate business objectives by collecting and forwarding any sponsorship, advertising, team promotions, and suite leads to department management, while working with clients to find solutions to their needs

    Build and run accurate reports regarding sales, calls, appointments, and account maintenance on a regular basis

    Other related duties as assigned

    Qualifications:

    Bachelors degree in Business, Sports Management, or a related field from an accredited college or university

    At least 2 years of management experience, including leading, coaching, mentoring and motivating sales and service people

    Experience in the development of a group sales program

    Strong relationship building and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact comfortably and effectively with internal and external clients at all levels of an organization

    Excellent communication and presentation skills

    Confident, persistent, and results-oriented approach to selling and sales management

    Proficiency with MS Word, Excel, Outlook and the internet

    Must be able to work evenings and weekends, as required

    Preferred experience:

    A proven understanding of contact management systems and ticketing systems

    Knowledge of and a passion for professional basketball
