Position Overview:

_Join our dynamic team at Washington Yu Ying and be a part of our collaborative and supportive faculty dedicated to creating an exceptional learning environment EY ELL teachers contribute to whole student achievement through their support of students across the PK-K grade levels through planned interventions with a focus on English Language acquisition.

Essential Responsibilities, including but not limited:

Demonstrated ability to teach in ways that are interactive, hands-on, inquiry-based, and promote self-discovery and critical thinking.
Demonstrated ability to foster high academic expectations within students through collaboration with teaching teams on effective differentiated interventions.
Demonstrated ability to administer specialized ELL assessments (i.e. preIPT/WIDA).
Clear understanding of child development and a commitment to nurture students with diverse needs.
Strong interpersonal skills and proven ability to work and collaborate as a member of multiple teams.
Demonstrated ability to integrate and align English Language Learner needs across academic disciplines with a clear understanding of inquirybased practices, scope and sequence, and learning objectives.
Demonstrated ability to administer and use assessments and progress monitoring to design effective and targeted ELL instruction.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited institution
required. Master's degree in education preferred.
Academiclevel proficiency in English is
required.
TESOL/ELL certification preferred. Early childhood and/or elementary experience required.
