- Develop and implement production plans, schedules, and strategies to ensure a smooth and efficient production process.
- Monitor production progress against deadlines and adjust schedules as necessary to meet production targets and delivery dates.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, procurement, and logistics teams to ensure timely availability of materials and resources.
- Analyze production data, identify bottlenecks, and implement solutions to optimize production workflows and reduce downtime.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Manage and maintain inventory levels to meet production needs while minimizing excess stock and costs.
- Lead, mentor, and develop the production control team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and operational excellence.
- Prepare and present reports on production performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs), efficiency metrics, and improvement initiatives to senior management.
- Liaise with sales and customer service teams to ensure accurate and timely communication regarding production status and delivery timelines.
- Implement and leverage advanced production planning and control software tools to enhance efficiency and accuracy in scheduling and forecasting.
- Coordinate with quality assurance to ensure that production outputs meet the required standards and specifications.
- Participate in strategic planning and budgeting processes, providing insights and forecasts related to production capacity, resource needs, and potential bottlenecks.
- Lead cross-functional projects to drive improvements in the supply chain, manufacturing processes, and customer satisfaction.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, technologies, and best practices in production control and manufacturing operations.
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in production control, planning, or a similar role within a manufacturing environment.
- Proven leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a high-performing team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a focus on detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational and project management skills, capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using production planning and inventory management software systems.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and Toyota Methods is required.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different departments and levels of the organization.
- Flexibility to adapt to changing production needs and deadlines.
- Prior experience at Amazon in operations management is preferred.
