Description

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provides leadership for employee relations through effective communications, coaching, training, and development.
  • Oversees the manufacturing schedule to ensure proper workload distribution to maximize productivity.
  • Provides leadership for problem resolution to facilitate fast improvements and improved working relationships.
  • Strategic planning and execution to enhance profitability, productivity, and efficiency throughout the company's operations.
  • Ensures compliance with company standards for cost control, waste reduction, quality, OSHA, safety, and complete and ontime delivery at the lowest possible cost.
  • Determines operations headcount needs and ensures compliance with company policies.
  • Provides budgeting support, planning, and auditing as required. Generates necessary reports for the Operations group to support agreed upon targets are being met.
  • Identifies, communicates, and drives implementation of capital investments and improvement projects with the support of the Facilities & Deburring Manager
  • Manages compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Manages policy deployment in the areas of Lean Manufacturing techniques, quality, cost reduction, complete and ontime delivery, safety, customer satisfaction, employee relations, visual controls, and plant performance measures.
  • Implement improved processes and management methods to generate higher ROI and workflow optimization.
  • Interact regularly with executive team and departmental supervision to ensure that company's operational priorities are aligned with total company direction.
  • Continually investigate and introduce process improvement measures and presents suggestions to BU President for consideration.
  • Participate and/or provides input in vendor negotiations to ensure product relevance and costefficiency
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualification and Education requirements

  • College Degree, High School Diploma, Trade School Certificate or equivalent.
  • Five to Seven years of related experience in a machine shop manufacturing environment; or equivalent combination of education and experience
