    Vice President of Behavioral Health Children's Services - Framingham, United States - Advocates

    Overview


    The Vice President of Children's Services is responsible for overall leadership and administration of children's services in the Behavioral Health service line.

    As a member of Senior Leadership, the Vice President oversees services and systems, to support and promote the continuum of programs offered throughout Advocates.

    Minimum Education Required

    Responsibilities


    • Provide overall fiscal responsibility including budget development, projections, and fiscal management to ensure that divisions meet expectations.
    • Oversee Division budget including Children's Behavior Health Initiative program (CBHI), Department of Youth Services contracts, Department of Children and Families contract, and Department of Developmental Services contracts and other children services grants and contracts as needed.
    • Ensure that the clinical and operational integrity of programs and services is maintained.
    • Develop systems to improve the quality of children services outcomes, consistent with the needs of persons served and the goals of payers.
    • Collaborate and utilize processes of the agency's Quality Management Department.
    • Oversee and coordinate strategic planning process and business planning for Children's Services.
    • Maintain exemplary performance with respect to contract specifications, regulatory requirements, and licensing/accreditation standards.
    • Motivate and lead high performance, diverse teams, providing supervision, mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
    • Promote an atmosphere of quality customer service and excellence in service delivery.
    • Maintain constructive and productive internal and external communications with staff, managers, providers, vendors, and funding sources.
    • Work collaboratively and effectively with departments across the agency.
    • Develop, maintain, and foster effective working partnerships and customer relationships with state agencies, funding sources, community providers, and individuals/families.
    • Assist in fundraising, strategic partnership, and new program development to enable the agency to meet growth
    • Create and pursue new business opportunities for services for children who are pre-school or school age, including school-based and home-based support, while continuing to nurture, sustain, and advance the expansion of existing services.
    • Represent theagency, as a member of the Senior Leadership Team with clients and families, funders, the community, and all other partners.
    • Promote a culture of diversity, inclusion, and equity.
    • Attend and actively participate in supervision and staff meetings.
    • Write proposals in response to current business and new business opportunities.
    • Develop social strategies, systems, and programs that support and improve the communities in which Advocates operates.
    • Facilitate and support affiliations, and other community partnerships and collaborations.
    • Adhere to all principles related to the Advocates Way and promote cultural diversity.
    • Perform all duties in accordance with the agency's policies and procedures.
    • Strictly follow all agency performance standards.
    Qualifications


    • Master's degree (MA/MS) in social/human services and 10 years related supervisory experience.
    Current Commonwealth of MA licensure in at least one of the following disciplines:
    LICSW, LMHC, Rehab Counselor, LADC I, LABA, MD, RN, OT, Psychologist.

    • Strongly prefer a candidate that will have a demonstrated understanding of and competence in serving culturally diverse populations.
    • Demonstrated application of sound business practices, including budgeting, financial projections, and implementation of fiscal controls.
    • Exemplary customer-service skills and focus.
    • Ability to lead, as a member of a senior leadership team, through change and strategic growth.
    • High level of communication and interpersonal skills necessary to lead and motivate teams.
    • Ability to function in a team atmosphere.
    • Demonstrated experience overseeing a variety of service types with various funding models.
    • Knowledge of state and federal systems for serving children.
    • Working knowledge of applicable regulations including Medicaid, commercial insurance; and EOHHS agencies (DESE, DMH, DDS, DCF, DPH.)
    • Strong computer skills including working knowledge of Microsoft Office.
    • Strong analytical and reasoning abilities.
    • Ability to execute a variety of decision-making models.
    • Must be able to multi-task with frequently changing priorities.
    • Must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
    • Must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
    • Must hold a valid drivers' license and have access to an automobile to travel between sites.
