This important role will:

Review and perform an extensive analysis of documentation including but not limited to Closing, Post Closing and MRB/MCC of delegated and non-delegated loan packages (which consists of, collateral, limited credit analysis including income calculations) for accuracy, completeness and compliance with all federal (FHA, VA, RD, FNMA, FHLMC), state, Virginia Housing and insuring agency guidelines, in a timely and efficient manner, to allow for timely purchase of loans and issuance of MCC commitments and certificates.

All while providing excellent customer service for both internal and external customers.

Attends and participates in a variety of agency meetings (RMBA, MBA, VMBA, VA, RD) as representatives of Virginia Housing's Homeownership Program.

Provides training to lenders, as required. Provides excellent customer service to lenders by answering inquiries daily regarding loan programs, required documentation, Virginia Housing guidelines pre
- and post-closing issues, as well as a variety of other issues and/or questions that arise during the loan process.


Responsibilities will include:


  • Performs a review of Note(s) and/or an extensive Closing, Post Closing and MRB/credit review of loan conditions submitted by lenders for purchase.
  • Ensures that Note(s) are accurate and assigned to Virginia Housing prior to purchase.
  • Issues Pended Loan Notifications to lender for Note errors and/or any critical missing information or documents not included in the loan package or submitted with conditions.
  • Issues Repricing notices to lenders based on internal compliance timelines.
  • Operate as a liaison for New Loan Setup and Lenders for document corrections.
  • Responsible for capturing and reporting error on pended loans prior to purchasing.
  • Prepares Note Reformation if needed for Note corrections and forwards to lender.
  • Reviews incoming documents provided by lender to clear pend conditions.
  • Responsible for formatting and distributing FNMA Early Check and Freddie Mac LSA reports received from Capital Markets.
  • Keeping abreast of Federal and private lending programs through continuing education including inhouse classes, seminars, agency meetings/webinars and Allregs classes to enhance knowledge.
Several years' experience in processing or closing Conventional, FHA, VA and/or RD mortgage loans. (i.e., sufficient experience in the occupational field to perform a variety
of work assignments within the occupational field with mínimal supervision.


Preferred experience includes:


  • Preferred Knowledge in processing or closing Conventional, FHA, VA and/or RD mortgage loans.
This position will close at midnight on May 29, 2024


Hiring Range:
$59,295 - $77,082

A background check will be performed as a condition of employment.
