    Description


    The Contracts Specialist works directly with our partners at the hospital level to negotiate and execute agreements on behalf of FX.


    This role is critical as the contracting process can be arduous and tedious but is a vital step in the process to providing our portfolio to our customers in a timely manner.

    Responsibilities
    Some of the core responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

    Work with Director of Sales, Business Development Director, Chief Compliance Officer and VP of Marketing and Sales to negotiate and execute all National GPO and Local Agreements with hospitals.

    Develop price files, implement in internal operating systems to synchronize price files with inventory management systems
    Develop price files consistent with corporate strategy
    Provide prompt and accurate responses or submissions of RFPs to vendor partners
    Have a complete understanding of upcoming, ongoing, and past RFPs and deadlines
    Communication to Sales and Marketing weekly as to status of ongoing negotiations

    Job Requirements
    Bachelors degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related field
    Minimum of 2 years experience in contract management or procurement, preferably in a healthcare related setting
    strong understanding of orthopedic terminology, procedures, and equipment
    Excellent negotiation skills
    Excellent verbal and written communication
    Strong understanding of the orthopedic hospital contracting process and pricing strategy
    Ability to analyze and interpret contractual agreements
    Ability to develop pricing constructs consistent with corporate strategy
    Demonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
    Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and contract documentation
    Knowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirements
    Willingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in contractual agreements

    Preferred Qualifications
    Certification in contract management or procurement
    Experience with orthopedic-specific contracts, such as those for implants, prosthetics, or surgical instruments
    Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
    Previous experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility environment
