    Description


    The Contracts Specialist works directly with our partners at the hospital level to negotiate and execute agreements on behalf of FX.

    This role is critical as the contracting process can be arduous and tedious but is a vital step in the process to providing our portfolio to our customers in a timely manner.

    ResponsibilitiesSome of the core responsibilities include but may not be limited to the following:

    Work with Director of Sales, Business Development Director, Chief Compliance Officer and VP of Marketing and Sales to negotiate and execute all National GPO and Local Agreements with hospitals.

    Develop price files, implement in internal operating systems to synchronize price files with inventory management systemsDevelop price files consistent with corporate strategyProvide prompt and accurate responses or submissions of RFPs to vendor partnersHave a complete understanding of upcoming, ongoing, and past RFPs and deadlinesCommunication to Sales and Marketing weekly as to status of ongoing negotiationsJob RequirementsBachelors degree in business administration, healthcare administration, or a related fieldMinimum of 2 years experience in contract management or procurement, preferably in a healthcare related settingstrong understanding of orthopedic terminology, procedures, and equipmentExcellent negotiation skillsExcellent verbal and written communicationStrong understanding of the orthopedic hospital contracting process and pricing strategyAbility to analyze and interpret contractual agreementsAbility to develop pricing constructs consistent with corporate strategyDemonstrated ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environmentAttention to detail and accuracy in data entry and contract documentationKnowledge of healthcare regulations and compliance requirementsWillingness to stay updated on industry trends and best practices in contractual agreementsPreferred QualificationsCertification in contract management or procurementExperience with orthopedic-specific contracts, such as those for implants, prosthetics, or surgical instrumentsFamiliarity with electronic health records (EHR) systemsPrevious experience working in a hospital or healthcare facility environmentIf you possess the qualifications and skills outlined above and are passionate about ensuring the effective management of orthopedic contracts, we encourage you to apply for the exciting opportunity.
