- Lead a small team of HR Business Partners and enhance internal HRBP capabilities.
- Collaborate with leaders to ensure a positive employee experience and effectively resolve employee relations issues.
- Provide insights into talent strategies, including leadership development and talent pipeline building.
- Contribute to DE&I initiatives in partnership with the DE&I Committee, focusing on inclusion, connection building, and diverse talent acquisition/development.
- Partner with leaders to navigate organizational change, growth, and acquisition integration while planning effective communication strategies.
- Play a crucial role as a member of the HR Leadership Team, fostering a high-performing, collaborative, and inclusive HR team environment.
- Minimum 7 years of HR experience with at least 3 years in people leadership roles.

Northmarq, recognized by Real Estate Forum as one of The Best Places to Work in Commercial Real Estate, is currently looking for a Director, HR Business Partner to join our Human Resources team at our Minneapolis (Bloomington) office. In this key role, you will lead a small team of HR business partners while also managing direct HRBP responsibilities across various business lines in the company. Your focus will be on enhancing business partner capabilities, collaborating with leaders to achieve both short-term and long-term business objectives. As a vital part of the HR leadership team, you will work towards aligning effectively with other HR functions such as talent acquisition, operations, and learning and development.
Key Responsibilities:
This position entails proactive planning and collaboration with HR colleagues to ensure successful execution of various initiatives such as talent acquisition, culture change, diversity and inclusion, performance management, and more. Reporting to the Chief Human Resources Officer, you will also engage in select initiatives at the holding company level (Pohlad Companies), representing HR and Northmarq on a broader scale.
