Beam is a tool to quickly build machine learning-powered applications.

Our platform helps developers run their code on serverless GPUs, deploy highly performant APIs, and rapidly prototype ML models — without managing any infrastructure.

Dozens of teams are using Beam to power their machine learning models in production. And we have a thriving community of developers using our platform to build state-of-the-art apps with machine learning.
We're looking to hire someone to help us with Product Engineering work.

Our system is used for rapidly creating serverless runtimes to run our customers' ML training code and autoscaling their deployments according to traffic.

You'll work closely with customers to build new features and work across the stack. We're looking for someone who's interested in a dynamic role at a very fast-moving company.

What that means is some weeks you might work on a full-stack feature, and other weeks you might travel to a hackathon to help developers build apps on our platform.

Our backend APIs are Python, our infra code is Golang, and the frontend is React / TS.

We work very closely with our customers – they're all in a communal Slack channel with us, so it's important that you're interested in interacting with them (luckily, our customers are all developers).

This is a fully-remote, international role – we're native to tools like Slack, Zoom, and Google Docs, and this works pretty well for us.

We try to keep distractions to a minimum, we have quarterly hackathons at our office, and we value getting into a flow state at work.

    Skills & Experience

Experience owning full-stack features from conception to launch
Comfortable with Python, Golang, Django, React, and Typescript. Ideally, some familiarity with Kubernetes.
Ability to setup basic cloud resources you know your way around the cloud console and can make sense of Terraform
Enthusiasm for developer tools, cloud native technologies, and machine learning
    Engineers on the team

Ship code directly to customers on a daily basis
Share frequent and honest feedback with each other
Fork open source libraries to solve challenges unique to our product
Help guide product decisions and high-level strategy
    Benefits

    Competitive salary and meaningful equity
Flexible work environment – work remotely, or from our HQ in Cambridge, MA
Health, dental, and vision benefits with 90% coverage for you and 50% for dependents
    Laptop & home-office equipment stipend
    Quarterly hackathons with our community
Fitness stipend, learning budget, and much, much more
