    The Senior Production Control Engineer is a principal technical resource in Production Control and is responsible for the analysis, design, development, implementation and testing of HCL Workload Automation enterprise scheduling objects. In addition, this individual has a broad knowledge of Information Technology at large, with an understanding of related disciplines and how they interoperate. The Senior Production Control Engineer is responsible for leading project implementations and providing technical support and direction for the HCL Workload Automation enterprise scheduler.

    PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

    • Perform requirements analysis, development and testing related to the creation or maintenance of HCL Workload Automation enterprise batch scheduling objects.
    • Accountable for meeting assigned project objectives including timelines and budgeting. Leads the more complex Production Control projects and provides innovative suggestions for solutions.
    • Receives broad goals and overall objectives from Management and assists in establishing and implementing the methods to attain them. Effectively presents solutions to team members and management.
    • Serves as senior subject matter expert in the field of Production Control, maintaining a strong understanding of the field and its related technologies.
    • Provides technical support to ensure the ongoing efficient and reliable operations of related company information systems.
    • Proactively develops and maintains strong knowledge of company's information systems and their related components, and makes recommendations to improve the reliability, scalability, performance, or security of these systems as appropriate.
    • Leverages technology to automate manual tasks and seeks to improve efficiency wherever practicable and appropriate.
    • Develops, enforces, and maintains company's Information Security controls, procedures, and standards.
    • Serve as technical mentor to other members of the team.
    • Collaborates with other IT and business groups, readily sharing information with others.

    JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in a related technical field.
    • Seven or more years of related Information Technology experience.
    • Strong subject matter expertise in the field, with familiarity with other related Information Technologies, preferably IBM Tivoli Workload Scheduler (TWS).
    • Solid understanding of Systems Development Life Cycle models.
    • Strong analytical, development and testing skills related to scheduler object creation.
    • Has good organizational and project management skills.
    • Demonstrated ability to interact, build relationships, negotiate, and communicate well with members of team and senior management. Effective presentation skills.
