Description
Safety Manager The Safety Manager is responsible for oversight of Project Safety and Health (S&H), and Risk Management, effectively managing multiple Safety programs, developing and implementing M.C.
Dean site-specific project safety plans, and collaborating with Project Management in the implementation and leadership of the Operational Risk Management (ORM) process.
Key Responsibilities:
Creating, developing and implementing safety training plans and curriculums. Conducting new hire orientation (OSHA 10, 30 and CPR/FA training). Redesigning training material, programs and the employee experience in hands-on training.
Understanding and interpreting electrical safety standards; the National Electric Code (NEC), the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA)70E, NESC (National Electrical Safety Code) and overseeing and managing the NFPA 70E training program.
Monitoring and measuring effectiveness of training programs.Mentoring safety professionals and cross training with other safety professionals and communicating updates to safety training material across the organization.
Remaining current with all regulatory, operational, and technical matters relative to safety management and safety training programs.Participating in meetings with customers, project team members, and contractors/subcontractors and advising on project-specific Risk and Hazard mitigation plans, S&H training program, and technical reports.
This position requires 30% local travel (within 2 hours).Education / Experience Requirements:
Bachelors degree i n safety management discipline (electrical experience preferred) with minimum 5-7 years or Masters degree with minimum 3-5 years of safety management experience , emphasis on developing and implementation training programs.

Safety Management Systems knowledge, skill and experience. ANSI-Z10, OHSAS 18001, ISO 31000 Understanding of culture and culture building skills. Trainer Designation OSHA 500/502 Safety and Health / Occupational Safety degree from an ABET accredited program. Graduate Safety Practitioner (GSP)Willingness to pursue Associate Safety Professional (ASP), Certified Safety Professional (CSP), Construction Health and Safety Technician (CHST). Previous electrical / construction / industrial /federal and commercial S&H experience, Certified Electrical Safety Compliance Professional (CESCP). Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements, including U.S.
Citizenship, for access to classified information; minimum Top Secret required with ability to obtain & maintain Top Secret/SCI (TS/SCI) with Polygraph clearance Abilities:
