Job Description
SUMMARY
To perform preventive maintenance and repair on the Hotel's mechanical equipment with particular emphasis on, but not limited to the heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems.
CORE FOCUS & ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIESQualified candidates must be able to satisfactorily complete the following responsibilities. Other duties may be assigned.
Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance and repair on mechanical equipment.
Identify and troubleshoot problems, make repairs as follows: calibrate pneumatic control equipment, replace mechanical seals, re-pack pumps and valves, replace bearings and belts and check for proper alignment, repair fan coil units, pressure vessels, replace piping and fittings and maintain appropriate records of preventive maintenance and repairs.
Respond to requests and make the necessary repairs in a timely and courteous manner.Individual must have knowledge of fire standpipe, sprinkler systems and fire extinguishers throughout the facility to ensure proper working condition and fire protection in compliance with local fire codes.
Assist with requests to shut down water, steam and gas supplies.Change filters on HVAC and fan coil units.
Assist with contractor requests as instructed by Management.
SUPPORTING FUNCTIONS
In addition to the core focus & responsibilities, the candidate is expected to complete the following duties:
Work along with Director and Assistant Director of Engineering and Lead Engineer in developing and achieving the goals and objectives for the Department and Hotel.
Keep adequate inventories on hand.
Due to the nature of the business, the incumbent may be required to do other duties and special projects as assigned by the Director or Assistant Director of Engineering or Lead Engineer.
