    Description

    We are seeking to add a highly-motivated structural engineer to our team. The ideal candidate will have 4+ years of experience. The position will entail the design and production of structural systems in commercial, mixed-use, industrial, healthcare, multi-family and historic buildings.

    Salary commensurate with experience.

    Responsibilities

    • Prepare design calculations, drawings, specifications and design analysis
    • Perform construction administration related services including shop drawing reviews, response to requests for information, periodic construction site observation, and occasional specialized structural inspections
    • Collaborate with architects, designers and contractors on design and construction of projects

    Qualifications

    • 4+ years experience in structural engineering field.
    • Working knowledge of design & modeling software such as RISA, Revit & AutoCAD.
    • BS in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited school
    • Knowledge of national building and construction codes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI, NDS, etc.)
    • Knowledge and experience of structural engineering concepts, principles, and practices.
    • Knowledge of multiple types of construction is a plus.
    • Field experience is a plus
    • Strong written and oral communication skills.

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: $85, $120,000.00 per year

    Ability to commute/relocate:

    • New Orleans, LA: Reliably commute or willing to relocate with an employer-provided relocation package (Required)

    Experience:

    • Structural Engineering: 4 years (Preferred)

    Work Location: In person
