This position is with the 9th Mission Support Command, Theater Support Group, Directorate of Logistics located at Fort Shafter Flats, Hawaii
Responsibilities include:
Conduct staff visits throughout the organization to evaluate logistical readiness.
Provide guidance to subordinate elements to support their mission requirements.
Monitor transportation support for contingency operations.
Manage the organizations property book to advise on property accountability.
Analyze directives from higher headquarters to determine logistics needs of the organization.
Develop and implement policies to support mobilization readiness in all areas of logistical operation.

Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social).
You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience.Specialized Experience:
One year of specialized experience which includes:Interpreting regulations, directives and/or policies to ensure compliance.
Analyzing metrics to determine requirements for logistical support operations, such as supply, transportation, maintenance and/or food service.
Providing training on logistics matters within the organization.
Formulating budget estimates.
This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11).
Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience aloneno substitution of education for experience is permitted.You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas:

Time in Grade Requirement:
Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).EducationAdditional InformationMale applicants born after December 31, 1959, must complete a Pre-Employment Certification Statement for Selective Service Registration.

This is a Logistics Career Field position. Multiple positions may be filled from this announcement. Salary includes applicable locality pay.When you perform a Civilian Permanent Change of Station (PCS) with the government, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) considers the majority of your entitlements to be taxable.

Position may be filled as a time-limited promotion, reassignment or change to lower grade not to exceed (NTE) 3 Years by a current permanent Army employee.
