    SUMMARY:
    Anticipated openings for HCM Peer Coach positions, with an emphasis on working with Special Services. Coaches provide peer observation, feedback, and coaching for tenured staff.

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
    This class specification lists the major duties and requirements of the job and is not all-inclusive. Incumbent(s) may be expected to perform job-related duties other than those contained in this document and may be required to have specific job-related knowledge and skills.
    • Conduct coaching cycles, which include pre and post meetings
    • Support teachers in goal setting and reflection meetings
    • Attend bi-monthly peer coach meetings
    • Participate in Collaborative Meetings
    • Attend training and staff development required for the position.
    QUALIFICATIONS:
    To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.
    • Seven years teaching experience
    • State of MN Licensure in field of expertise
    • Up to a five-year commitment to the position
    • Excellent written and oral communication skills
    • Knowledge and application of instructional and classroom management best practices
    • Willingness and ability to work closely with staff on professional growth

    Mobility to work in an office or classroom setting, use standard equipment and stamina to stand for extended periods of time; strength to lift and carry up to 20 pounds; vision to read printed materials and computer screens; and hearing and speech to communicate in person or over the telephone.

    WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
    Work is performed in an office or classroom setting.
    Occasional travel required to locations throughout the District.
