Hearst, one of the nation's largest diversified media, information and services companies, has an opportunity for a Senior Accountant.

This role is an integral part of the Hearst Corporation's Controllership team, supporting the finance operations of a fast paced, global business.

This position is located in Charlotte, North Carolina.

Review and analyze financial statements in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
Ensure accuracy and completeness of financial records, including balance sheets and income statements.
Work with group controllers and accountants to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policies.
Group Revenue, Income & Cash Generation Reporting
Compileand analyze various financial reports from Hearst Operating Groups.

Work with group controllers and accountants to ensure compliance with corporate accounting policy and adherence with Consolidation & Corporate Reporting guidelines.

Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or equivalent certification preferred.
Proven experience (typically 4+ years) in accounting or finance roles, with progressively increasing responsibilities.
Strong knowledge of accounting principles and standards.
Experience with financial reporting and consolidation processes.
Excellent attention to detail and accuracy, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Knowledge of Oracle FCCS (consolidation software), Oracle EPBCS (Planning software) Oracle General Ledger, Smartview, Excel, macros is preferable.
High-integrity individual.
