    Job Overview - Senior Fund Accountant, Fixed Income


    Due to the recent launch of new funds, a growing global alternative investments fund provider with a major presence in uptown Charlotte is seeking a Senior Fund Accountant who bring the right experience, energy and culture to add to their outstanding team.


    The company's investments portfolio include private equity, venture capital, private debt, hedge and real estate funds to provide customized instruments and solutions to high net worth investors.

    The Senior Fund Accountant will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of fixed income accounting, including financial reporting, reconciliation, and performance analysis.

    This role requires a meticulous attention to detail, strong analytical skills, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.


    Responsibilities:
    Manage all aspects of fixed income accounting, including daily reconciliation of trades, positions, and cash balances
    Prepare and review financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements, in accordance with GAAP and regulatory requirements
    Perform detailed analysis of fixed income portfolios, including attribution analysis and performance measurement
    Collaborate with portfolio managers and other stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely reporting of investment performance
    Identify and resolve discrepancies in accounting records and reports
    Stay current with industry trends and developments in fixed income markets

    Requirements


    The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fund accounting and a solid understanding of fixed income securities (ASC 820 and/or FAS 157).

    BS in Accounting with 3+ years of fund accounting experience and/or audit experience in public accounting
    Demonstrated aptitude for business technology tools
