    Description

    WaferWire is currently seeking a Senior Software Engineer in Test to join its team. The role involves 10% meetings, 40% collaboration with the engineering team on testing, and 50% focused independent work.

    Role: Senior Software Engineer in Test

    Location: Redmond, WA [Onsite]

    Job Responsibilities:

    • Proficiency in Rust and C/C++
    • Design and implement automation unit and functional test plans for Windows & Linux drivers and user mode APIs.
    • Develop DevOps pipelines for Continuous Integration, Deployment, and Validation (CI/CD/CDV) processes.
    • Architect and develop scalable ADO (Azure DevOps) processes for system driver/software release integration and validation across diverse server architectures.
    • Execute tests, file bugs, and assist with root cause analysis and firmware fixes for system drivers/software.
    • Perform RCA (Root Cause Analysis) on complex issues and provide detailed documentation.
    • Set up validation pipelines for testing on laboratory devices.
    • Monitor and resolve ADO failures related to validation and testing processes.
    • Install/uninstall hardware and software drivers and applications in production environments.
    • Test and evaluate computer hardware systems and components to ensure functionality and performance.
    • Ensure seamless integration of new software applications with existing computer hardware.
    • Troubleshoot hardware system issues, including solid-state storage, network adapters, and specialized security devices.

    Qualifications:

    • Associate's degree in a technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required
    • 5-7 years experience required.
    • Experience testing software.
    • Experience writing test documentation such as Test Plans, scripts and test results reports.
    • Ability to analyze/interpret test results and provide recommendations to improve testing.

    Top 3 Skills:

    • Rust proficiency , C/C++ programming experience
    • Building test automation harnesses
    • Writing applications for Linux and windows, user mode applications
