    our current apartment portfolio of 5,000 plus units is expected to double in the next couple of years and rise to over 10,000 units in the next five years.

    Given our rapid portfolio growth, coupled with ownership's desire to develop and hold rather than sell, the timing is ideal for qualified candidates to come on-board.

    We're currently seeking Full Time Code Compliance Associate for our portfolio of residential and commercial properties. This position will work at our corporate Hqts in Piscataway, NJ

    Summary of Job Description:

    The Code Compliance Associate performs inspections of our residential and commercial premises to ensure that all fire and subcode conditions are fully compliant as required by law.

    The Code Compliance Associate will make periodic and scheduled inspections of fire suppression systems, fire panels, other equipment including, alarms and lights.

    The Code Compliance Associate will also ensure that all locations possess valid certifications and documents as required by law.

    This position will pay $75,000 a year

    Responsibilities:

    Essential Job Functions:

    • Perform periodic and scheduled inspections of all fire equipment including, panels, suppression systems, documentation
    • Identify system failures and report findings to upper management
    • Oversee the remediation of reported code violations
    • Work closely with local and state officials to ensure code compliance
    • Work closely with other residential management and maintenance staff
    • Administer co-worker training in fire equipment maintenance and understanding

    Non-Essential Job Functions:

    • All other tasks or duties as assigned by the Director of Risk Management
    • Must maintain professional appearance including adherence to dress code as required
    • Your schedule will be based on the business needs and is subject to change at any time
    Qualifications:

    Qualifications:

    • Education:High School diploma or equivalent (GED), college preferred
    • Must possess a valid New Jersey Fire Inspector Certification
    • Must have at least five (5) years' experience in performing fire inspections
    • Be able to pass the company pre-employment background screening
    • Candidates with prior experience/positions with the NJ Division of Community Affairs Codes and Standards will be favorably considered
    • Candidates with municipal code enforcement will be favorably considered

    Skills:

    • Ability to complete administrative tasks with high attention to detail and limited mistakes
    • Ability to manage multiple on-going tasks and schedules and adhere to and meet required deadlines
    • Ability to speak, read and write English as demonstrated by clear and concise written reports and verbal communications
    • Ability to perform basic arithmetic skills such as measurement, addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division to do basic calculations and analysis such as estimating, determining averages and percentages, and totals
    • Ability to perform basic office applications such as word processing, e-mail, and spreadsheets
    • Ability to frequently operate general office equipment such as, but not limited to, personal computer, telephone, photocopying machine, facsimile machine, and postage machine
    • Must be proficient in or capable of becoming proficient in the following software; MS Office Suite (Excel, Word and Outlook are used daily), OneSite Real Page (or be capable of learning), Adobe Acrobat DC

    Licenses/Certifications:

    • Valid driver's license and automobile insurance .
    • Valid New Jersey Fire Inspector's Certification
