- Develops material schedules and coordinates the efficient movement of materials with purchasing, production, and engineering.
- Develops raw material requirements and scheduling requirements from engineering specifications and production schedules and plans and manages material movement with purchasing, warehouse, and production.
- Coordinates incoming and outgoing movement and storage of raw materials, finished products and parts to ensure material availability and delivery when needed to meet production schedules; may use Material Requirements Planning (MRP) systems.
- Compiles data on order volume, production schedules and forecasts and applies statistical methods to estimate future materials requirements; may negotiate lead times with suppliers and manage schedules for timely delivery.
- Applies research towards the planning, design development, testing, and completion of projects

Supply Chain & Procurement
The Materials Planner plans, schedules, and manages the efficient movement of material from receiving or the warehouse to production for our Bandag operation.
This role is also responsible for developing and implementing policies, procedures and material control systems activities related to material control and inventory control functions.
The ideal candidate will be able to come to our downtown headquarters on Tuesdays and Wednesdays while working from home the remainder of the week.
Works on problems of moderate scope and assists with projects or processes while receiving general instructions from higher level professionals
Bachelor's Degree preferred
SAP or PeopleSoft experience preferred
