    Description

    Onward Search is a specialized staffing and talent solutions company that helps professionals find top jobs with the nation's leading brands. We're looking to hire a USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER IV for a multinational technology company.

    You will join a team dedicated to delivering exceptional customer experiences and will own the end-to-end process of product development.

    This is a full-time, 6-month contract that is hybrid onsite opportunity in Seattle, WA.

    USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER IV Responsibilities:

    • Own the end-to-end process from problem definition to delivery.
    • Use business requirements, user and market research to develop scenarios, use cases, and high-level requirements for product strategy.
    • Collaborate with partners to identify key jobs to be done.
    • Design UI architecture, interface, and interaction flows
    • Communicate ideas for new experiences using wireframes, visual mockups, and prototypes.
    • Develop conceptual models for a system of devices.
    • Design highly usable digital experiences by rapidly prototyping, testing, and iterating on designs with internal partners.
    • Maintain detailed user-interface specifications and design patterns.
    • Collaborate with project managers to plan projects effectively while upholding high design standards.
    • Advocate for design with non-design audiences.
    • Write effectively to communicate design rationales and benefits to the customers.
    • Guide cross-functional teams and elevate the culture of UX thinking and design excellence.

    USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER IV Requirements:

    • 6+ years of design experience.
    • An available online portfolio.
    • Knowledge of best practices for information architecture and design.
    • Work samples demonstrating user-centered design solutions and patterns for desktop and mobile devices.

    USER EXPERIENCE DESIGNER IV Preferred Qualifications:

    • Experience working with product managers and engineers to translate technical requirements into user experience requirements.
    • End-to-end experience with product and developer partners: defining problems, building workflows, and evaluating prototypes.
    • Familiarity with Material UI (React) component libraries and experience with design systems.
    • Experience building, testing, and shipping digital products.
    • Experience with agile development methodologies and iterating designs based on user/partner feedback.
    • Prototyping user journeys using Figma, ProtoPie, or similar tools.
    • Systems design experience.
    • Strong presentation, storytelling, and writing skills.
    • Experience presenting design work to user experience teams, product and engineering teams, and executives.
    • Understanding of engineering principles and how design translates into code.
