ChargePoint, a leading electric vehicle (EV) charging infrastructure company, seeks a highly skilled and motivated Project Manager to oversee the successful planning, execution, and completion of EV charger installation projects.

As a Project Manager, you will collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders to ensure EV charging infrastructure's timely and efficient deployment. You will play a crucial role in overseeing the lifecycle of EV charger deployments, ensuring our charging infrastructure's successful implementation and operation. In this role, you will be part of the Global Fleet Team, reporting to the Manager of Project Development at ChargePoint, supporting the North American and European markets.

A key responsibility is performing detailed site evaluations and developing electrical drawings with recommendations for the customers with the deployment of electric vehicle charging infrastructure that minimizes risk and up-front costs while ensuring ease of scalability. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to advancing sustainable transportation and shape the future of EV charging technology.

    Responsibilities:

    • Project Execution: Manage all aspects of EV charger installations, including site assessments, equipment procurement, construction, and commissioning, while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and regulatory standards.
    • Budget and Cost Control: Monitor project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost control measures to ensure projects are completed within approved budgets.
    • Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, identifying critical milestones, dependencies, and resource requirements. Monitor progress, identify potential delays, and proactively address issues to ensure on-time project delivery.
    • Risk Management: Identify project risks and develop mitigation strategies. Implement effective risk management processes to minimize project disruptions and address unforeseen challenges.
    • Reporting and Documentation: Prepare regular project status reports, documentation, and presentations to update stakeholders on project progress, key metrics, and achievements.
    • Team Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, Engineering, Operations, and Customer Support, to ensure seamless project coordination and customer satisfaction.
    • Lessons Learned: Conduct project reviews to identify lessons learned, best practices, and areas for improvement. Share knowledge and contribute to the continuous improvement of project management processes.

    • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and techniques.
    • Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
    • Solid understanding of electrical systems, construction processes, and local building codes and regulations.
    • Prior experience working with airports and familiarity with airport construction processes and protocols is a plus.
    • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate with stakeholders at various levels and resolve conflicts.
    • Proactive problem-solving and decision-making abilities, with attention to detail and a focus on delivering high-quality results.
    • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
