Job Description:
- An Assistant Project Manager (APM) is responsible for coordinating and managing project information to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and meeting quality standards.
- The APM acts in the best interests of the business and client while embodying qualities of a novice leader.
- Most APMs remain in this role for two to six years, with opportunities for growth and advancement.
Responsibilities:
- Maintain compliance with HITT's safety standards
- Ensure accurate documentation is maintained
- Assist in developing and managing project budgets
- Create preconstruction RFP packages
- Participate in project meetings, set milestones, and prepare monthly owner reports
- Update project schedules, ensure quality control, and manage project logistics
- Assist in project closeout processes
- Collaborate with project superintendent and site operations team throughout the project lifecycle
Qualifications:
- High school diploma required; a four-year degree in construction, engineering, or business is preferred
- Equivalent work experience can substitute for a degree, with at least 2-5 years of commercial construction experience
- Previous experience on commercial job sites is highly desirable
- Passion for construction and the industry with a focus on quality
- Proficiency in project-specific software systems like Microsoft Office, ProCore, Adobe, and BlueBeam
- Strong communication skills, positive attitude, organizational abilities, integrity, and adaptability to changing technology
- Ability to collaborate with diverse backgrounds and maintain professional relationships
Salary Range:
- The base salary for this position ranges from $84,000 to $121,000 annually
