    Description

    Job Title: Materials Management Supervisor

    Company: Dynamic Manufacturing

    Responsibilities:

    • Supervise the material management process to ensure timely delivery of high-quality products.
    • Identify and engage external suppliers if needed.
    • Implement and maintain processes to ensure regulatory compliance.
    • Analyze current material availability and project future availability based on customer releases and new program information.
    • Ensure sufficient materials supply to meet customer demands.
    • Develop and manage contracts with suppliers.
    • Assess and approve conditions for business issuance and awards.
    • Resolve any discrepancies with vendors, contractors, and suppliers.
    • Lead negotiations with suppliers for favorable terms.
    • Develop, organize, and report on key performance indicators.
    • Oversee daily operations of schedulers, receiving and shipping clerks, and buyers.
    • Manage reporting methods and handle obsolete materials disposal.
    • Direct production planning and scheduling based on sales forecasts.
    • Supervise production, inventory control, shipping and receiving, and materials storage activities.
    • Maintain optimal inventory levels to meet customer delivery timelines.
    • Supervise shipping and receiving functions for purchased parts and finished goods.
    • Identify opportunities for reducing transportation costs.
    • Monitor the storage of purchased parts and finished goods.
    • Establish procedures and oversee execution of year-end physical inventory audits.
    • Ensure timely entry of customer releases into the system.

    Ideal Candidate Background:

    • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, or related field required (15 years exp in lieu of degree).
    • 10+ years of production purchasing and materials management experience.
    • 5+ years in leadership position with comprehensive responsibility for managing and developing teams, including coaching and training.
    • Demonstrated commitment to process development and continuous improvement initiatives.
    • Strong project management skills, with ability to handle multiple assignments and changing priorities effectively.
    • Experience with Sytline (not mandatory) would be considered a plus.
    • Deep understanding of AS9100 requirements (not obligatory) would be advantageous.
